HPVA Laboratories, established in 1954, is a leader in providing testing services and developing industry standards. Our dedicated, professional staff has years of combined experience and expertise in wood science, fire science, analytical chemistry, and inspection and certification services. From our headquarters in Reston, VA, near Washington, DC, we offer a variety of services and resources where capabilities continue to expand to meet industry demands for third-party services.

We work closely with our clients and research partners to serve their individual needs and provide science based reports and recommendations. Whether working with government agencies, suppliers to the industry, or product manufacturers, we strive to provide cost effective, timely, and accurate reports focusing on customer’s expectations.

In order to maintain the highest standards of quality and service to our customers, HPVA Laboratories certification programs, inspection services, and specific test methods are accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) to the internationally accepted conformity assessment standards of ISO/IEC Standards 17025, 17020, and 17065.

HVPA Laboratories certification and mark is recognized by architects, specifiers, customers, and code compliance officials assuring listed products meet regulatory agencies' requirements or standards specifications. Certification programs demonstrate to customers that the products are manufactured in compliance with the applicable standards and that quality management systems are in place to ensure continued conformance.
